Suggested Reading Lists

The G.R.I.T.S. Kidz Book Club Suggested Reading Lists have grown a lot since they were created in 2004. These recommended titles of African American books for babies to grade 12 came about when parents of our adult online reading club asked for help finding great books for their children to read during the summer.
All of the lists below were compiled by the kids and parents of our book club, and include fiction and nonfiction books by some of the best authors for children and Young Adults.
